Caught Looking is built to show live and historical baseball scorecards. This page describes what data the site uses and how it’s stored.

Browser storage on your device

We use your browser’s built-in storage (for example localStorage) to remember preferences on your device only—things like pinned teams, red stars you mark on the scorecard, live-update and spoiler settings, theme, and similar choices. This data stays in your browser unless you clear site data or use another browser or device.

Preferences are saved in your browser on this device. We do not use this storage to track you across other websites.

Optional community red stars

If you choose to share a red star with the community, our server sends a small record (game identifier, play identifier, and optional link and clip-related fields we document elsewhere) to a configured data store so the play can appear for other visitors. That action is optional and separate from saving a star only on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
